![]() ![]() In case this is a weird House situation, here's just a random thing and the only other change that happened right before the slip indicator light started coming on is I just refilled the windshield wiper fluid. I also need to, at some point, replace the spark plugs as it's been a while. I need to replace the drive belt relatively soon, as it squeaks softly, but I wanted to prioritize whatever was tripping the CEL before then. My regular mechanic thinks this may be the only thing left that's causing problems, as I also took it in to be reprogrammed after replacing the PCV valve, cleaning the throttle body, and doing an idle relearn. an unfamiliar mechanic replaced my MFA with an aftermarket MFA instead of a Nissan MFA. I wish I had one for reference here, but I do not. But the snapshots from the code reader haven't been illuminating. The code it's throwing is, of course, P101, about the MFA. This has been happening at least once a day. I restarted the car and the slip indicator light was off. Worked fine until I got home, then the slip indicator light came on and didn’t turn off until I parked the car, at which point the car died after it had been idling for 30 seconds. Deep cleaned throttle body, idle relearn. The front brakes are making noise again, a very soft groan, and honestly I need to get the MFA situation dealt with first. One of the backing plates was bent in installation and was recently fixed. recently worked on brakes (replaced front rotors, brake pads). In my manual, it says the Slip Indicator indicates a problem with the ABS system, but it does always occur after the engine revs out of nowhere. recently replaced the transmission with a shop I trust, but other mechanics have been mentioning that the sudden revving of the engine followed by the Slip Indicator light means that something might be up with the transmission. Here's the work I've had to get done in the last month, and how it all leads to the Mass Airflow Sensor problems I've been dealing with for the last two weeks. ![]() Alright, so recently, I have had a lot of issues with my 2014 Nissan Versa Note S, now that I've hit 120k miles.
